For Hillary and Jeremiah, the sweltering summer day was more than just a wedding. The two had spent their entire relationship miles apart – he in North Carolina and she in Georgia – so this was an opportunity for the “goodbyes” to become “goodnights.” The Alpharetta, Georgia venue, Chukkar Farm Polo Club, was only three miles from Hillary’s childhood home and the proximity as well as the natural beauty was a decision maker. The couple wanted a setting that was gorgeous all its own and wouldn’t need a lot of adornment. Instead of an excess of decoration, the space was embellished with simple neutrals and pastels, chalkboard signs, and charmingly rustic touches coordinated by Cleveland, GA wedding planner Annie Mae Weddings + Events as well as whimsical, airy arrangements of roses, hydrangeas, dusty miller, and thistles designed by Atlanta-area wedding floral designer Holland Daze that matched the bouquets. In the woodland shade, Hillary sashayed down the aisle in an off-white lace mermaid gown accented by a glittering belt. Surrounding an arbor stood bridesmaids draped in ethereal gowns of powder blue and white lace overlay and groomsmen in light gray tuxes. After the ceremony, guests made their way to a deliciously Southern meal of barbecue from Williamson Bros. Bar-B-Q and beer from local brewery Dry County Brewing Company. The newlyweds cut into a florally ornamented buttercream cake by Lynn Worley Wagoner while the wedding-goers kept up an energetic and exuberant vitality on the dance floor. The wedding was a sweet, aestival celebration of family, friends, and timeless joy. Anna Shackleford, a husband-wife duo photography team in Atlanta, GA captured the sweet couple’s day on film while Zauche Videography, Atlanta wedding videographers, created a reel for the newlyweds to enjoy for years to come.
