After dating for seven years and a perfectly poignant proposal, Stephanie and Andrew decided on having their wedding in Georgia since the state is an important part of both of their lives. The couple opted for a laid back, southern feel yet wanted to keep it as classic and traditional as possible. So, on September 15, 2012 in front of 180 of their closest friends and family, some who had traveled as far away as England and Japan, the couple exchanged vows at Roswell wedding venue The Gardens at Great Oaks. With the groom being Jewish and the bride being Christian, the couple opted for a non-religious ceremony but still held on to a few of the traditions from both. They had a close friend officiate their nuptials but had traditional Christian music, drank from a wine cup in Andrew’s family for generations and breaking the glass at the end of the ceremony. The groom and his groomsmen wore khaki suits with navy and pink bow ties (and matching socks!) and pocket squares. The bridesmaids wore navy dresses from J.Crew. All the dresses were navy cotton taffeta, but each bridesmaid selected her own style/cut. The flower girls wore matching champagne colored dresses, and the ring bearer wore a suit with a navy jacket.
The couple selected specialty cocktails for their reception including Moscow and Gin Gin Mules, an Old Fashioned, a Pisco Sour, and a Cosmo. They even made their own white-wine sangria!
