Family traditions, especially from the Polish groom, were present throughout the day in this romantic August wedding in Rapid City, South Dakota. Kari and Tom married in a historic church with a traditional Catholic ceremony in both Polish and English before celebrating with family and friends at Black Hills Receptions and Rentals. The bride turned heads in a Galina Signature one-shoulder gown with beaded detailing and a romantic flowing skirt from David’s Bridal, her blonde hair pinned in an updo with a delicate floral headband, as she was ushered to her beaming husband-to-be. Florists at Forget-Me-Not Florals, a Rapid City based floral designer, created a dainty bouquet of white hydrangea, pink roses and ranunculus for the bride and her bridesmaids. The ‘maids wore classic black gowns while the ‘men wore black tuxedos with blush accents to complement the bride and groom. After the ceremony, wedding guests enjoyed a cocktail hour and reception in a beautifully decorated tent, complete with romantic uplighting and chandeliers, charcoal linens and subtle glitzy details. The couple incorporated many aspects of Tom’s Polish heritage and culture–including homemade vodka and dessert table at the reception! PowerHouse Dance DJ‘s kept the dance floor full as the party continued well into the night. The traditional classic elegance of this wedding was captured by Rapid City wedding photographer Cadey Reisner.
