When Clare and Ray planned their wedding to take place at Orlando wedding venue Bella Collina, every detail was laid out with absolute precision. Tones of red to honor Clare’s Chinese heritage, elegant décor to compliment the already stunning atmosphere of the venue, and a menu fit for a king and queen. And needless to say, the wedding was just as perfect as Clare and Ray hoped it would be. Clare wore a stunning A-line design by Demetrios, perfectly offset by her bridesmaids’ apple-red mermaid gowns. After the “I do’s” were said, guests made their way to the reception to find Tuscan-inspired fare waiting for them, each receiving a dinner of chicken and salmon as well as other generous courses capped off by a multi-tiered wedding cake of multiple flavors. DJ Louis provided the perfect atmosphere for cutting loose on the dance floor, and the bride and groom joined their guests doing just that. As the wedding night drew to a close, Clare and Ray made their grand exit to the cheering of family and friends. Relish the richness of this celebration with these photos by Orlando wedding photographer Victoria Angela!
Please give us an overview of the event.
We had our wedding on May 5th 2013 in Bella Collina country club. The weather was perfect with no cloud in sight. The ceremony was out at the Grand Lawn overlooking beautiful Lake Apopka in Montverde Florida. All the vendors arrived on time. They were all very professional, and provided a stress free day for us.
Tell us about your wedding gown and what your wedding party wore.
I wore a beautiful A-line wedding gown from Demitrios. My bridal party wore an Apple-red long mermaid style gown.
Was there a specific theme or style?
No theme in particular. We wanted to keep with the elegant style to match the beautiful scenery of Bella Collina. Our wedding colors was red, to match my Chinese heritage.
What was the most memorable moment?
The way my husband smiled as I walked down the aisle. As well as our wedding vows.
Tell us how you met. Was it love at first sight, blind date, friends forever?
(From Ray) Clare and I met at our work, a surgical unit in the regional hospital. I have been a staff nurse there for almost 10 years, when I noticed new nurse Iiterns. Clare’s beautiful smile caught my eyes immediately. After a few weeks of getting to know each other, we started dating.
Did you DIY any of the details?
Tell us about the food and desserts.
The food was was amazing! Our Hors d’oeuvre were “built your own bruschetta”, where you can fill your own bruschetta with many different toppings derived from a Tuscan Italy cuisine. Our appetizer was Cesar salad. Our main course was chicken and salmon (I want to stress that it is chicken AND salmon, NOT chicken OR salmon. Each of our guests got both!) with fresh vegetables and mashed potatoes. The chicken and salmon were moist and tender, very juicy and cooked to perfection. Our guests commented to us how amazing their dishes were. Our dessert was our beautiful wedding cake. Each tier had a different style of cake, but they all tasted amazingly good.
