The wedding of Lea and James was nothing short of classically opulent, taking place at the beginning of May in the radiant Sarasota sunshine. Lea, James, and 500 of their closest friends and family gathered at FirstSarasota Baptist Church for the sophisticated and traditional ceremony coordinated by Southwest Florida wedding planner NK Productions Wedding Planning. The two partners exchanged heartfelt vows beneath a sprawling arbor of white and gold florals surrounded by bridesmaids in gold sequins and groomsmen in traditional black tuxes. The groom beamed in a custom navy tuxedo while his beautiful bride said her “I do’s” in a billowing cap-sleeved ballgown embellished with fresh water pearls and Swarovski crystals. Her gown was perfectly accented by handmade accessories and a tiara crafted by local Sarasota designer, Nikki Sedacca. The bride and her attendants held white and gold bouquets of hydrangeas, roses, and hand painted gold leaves arranged by MMD Events. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the guests made their way to Sarasota wedding venue, The Ringling Museum, a striking baroque edifice, for a cocktail hour featuring gilded ballerinas twirling in and out of the crowds. The party then moved to a seated reception catered by local restaurant Mattison’s Forty-One as well as Lea’s father’s restaurant, Cafe Baci. The newlyweds cut into a colossal eight tier rose and crystal garnished cake by Cake Zone before they mounted the monogramed dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. The traditions completed, guests kept up the energy with late night grilled cheese snacks and spritely dancing. Tampa-based wedding photographer Justin DeMutiis Photography captured every detail of the couples’ big day while Gulf Coast videographers VH Video created a reel for the newlyweds to watch for years to come.
