If 10/10/10 was destined to be an auspicious day, Lauren Morgan and Kevin Patrick hit the jackpot. That Sunday afternoon, the couple held their wedding ceremony and reception at the popular Atlanta restaurant and event venue JCT Kitchen. It turned out to be a sunny, cloud-free day, just right for the outdoor ceremony in JCT’s courtyard. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a traditional Sunday supper, noshing on classics like roasted chicken, roast beef tenderloin, macaroni & cheese, mashed potatoes, garlicky green beans and farmstand salad. Later on, guests had their choice of seven different cupcake flavors including pumpkin, Guinness, mint chocolate chip or turtle from Miss Mamie’s, as well as a chocolate wedding cake. As the perfect evening came to a close, Lauren and Kevin were thrilled to have been able to share their Atlanta lifestyle with all their guests. As Lauren described it, their modern wedding made them “the two happiest freckled kids you’ll ever meet.” Photos by Atlanta wedding photographer Achor & Eden.
The urban setting and modern architecture of JCT Kitchen inspired the rest of the wedding’s decor, with heavy use of fall colors and metallics. Florist Kathy King of King Design Studio transformed the restaurant using sunflowers, roses, Belles of Ireland and different colored mums, many of them displayed in ribbon covered soup cans.
DJ Josh Whitlock played a mix of classics plus new school rock, hip hop, pop and a little R & B. Kevin’s fraternity brothers surprised the bride with a serenade and choreographed dance to “My Girl.”
