Written by German composer, Richard Wagner, “Here Comes the Bride” (otherwise known as the “Wedding March”) is probably one of the most well known pieces everywhere, especially those who are in love with weddings! Usually played at the beginning of the wedding ceremony, the piece gives the bride that “go ahead” to walk down the aisle. You know that moment – when everyone in the venue turns toward the back to watch the stunning bride make her way to her groom. Instead of the traditional flower girls scattering flower petals, brides have been getting their flower girls (or ring bearers) to carry signs to announce their grand entrance. Creative and trendy? I think so!
This fabulous red and teal Beatles themed wedding featured three adorable flower girls that carried signs announcing the bride’s arrival as she walked down the aisle to the song, “Here, There, and Everywhere.” The audience oohed and ahhed, and I can totally relate because that’s exactly what I’m doing! Being able to incorporate three delightful children into a wedding is way too precious! (via Ashley Rose Photography)
For this gorgeous wedding filled with DIY projects, the ring bearer and flower girl walked down the aisle with a “Here Comes the Bride” fan. The bride and groom passed out their program fans to their guests to keep them cool in the sun, so having the flower girl hold a fan-like sign matches the whole feel of the wedding. All eyes on these cute kids! (And then the bride, of course!) (via Swept Away Studios)
For all you sports lovers, this “Here Comes the Bride” sign is made just for you! Pennants are usually used to display a certain sports team, but why not cheer on for a beautiful bride’s arrival? With a length of 16 inches, this extra large pennant will give the audience a heads up for the big moment. You can also pick the color of the ribbon to match your event. (via Etsy – The Ritzy Rose)
I’m in love with this “Here Comes the Bride” wooden hearts sign! Who knew a simple DIY project could turn out so wonderful (and great for pictures)? These wooden hearts give that rustic yet romantic feel… super stylish! I want to go to the nearest craft store and pick up some wooden hearts and make signs now! (via Font Crafts)
From wooden signs to flag pennants to fans, I feel that this trend will catch on soon, if it hasn’t already! It’s a wonderful way for kids to be incorporated into the wedding. And it’s an even more awesome way to announce that the beautiful bride is coming. How would you like to declare the bride’s entrance on her big wedding day?
