Get ready, y’all, because little Allison’s mermaid themed first birthday party is one colossal splash of cuteness! Living in South Florida so near the beach, Allison’s mom knew that there was no better way to join the brightness and fun of the ocean with the enchantment of children’s fairy tales than to use a magical mermaid theme for her daughter’s celebration. A pretty pastel palette of purple, aqua, and mint was used throughout the entire party, the cool and feminine colors reminiscent of Disney’s Ariel and the beauty of the seaside. DIY details abounded, from the beautiful paper dot garland through which guests entered the celebration, to the centerpieces made from glass jars and spray-painted coffee filters, to the adorable puzzle of the birthday girl as a little mermaid sitting in the sand. An array of party food favorites was served before everyone satisfied their sweet tooth at the candy and cake tables which offered a beautiful ocean of treats — cake pops, cupcakes, lollipops, rock candy, and a cool mint and lavender masterpiece from Rock Star Pastries. Please give us an overview of the event.
The party was for Allision Michelle who turned 1 on that date. The parents celebrated in a big way with a mermaid-themed party with a mint and purple color palette. Guests entered through a DIY paper dot garland handmade by the mom and dad. They checked in by signing a piece of a puzzle that had an image of Allison from her session. Sweet stations, a beverage station, and lots of decor were among the focal points of the party. Children enjoyed a lot of sweets, a bounce house, volleyball court, face painting, a clown and a train driven by Allison’s grandfather.
