It’s fall, y’all! Well, almost, anyway. And in honor of the magical season soon to be here, we bring you this stunning “Fall Ball” themed Bat Mitzvah all the way from Denver, Colorado! The scene of Sydney’s celebration at JW Marriott was filled with color and wonder. Pumpkins and gourds were placed around the tables’ tall centerpieces of bright autumn leaves, smaller arrangements of candles, sunflowers, and orange roses bringing an added touch of elegance to the decor. Deliciously-scented candles served as favors and escort card holders, die-cut paper leaves leading guests to their seats to relish a scrumptious meal and caramel apple dessert. Dance Trax Productions brought the party’s energy to an all-time high, keeping everyone on their feet hours into the night. Be whisked away to the brilliant Bat Mitzvah with these photos by Brinton Studios!
Please give us an overview of the event.
Sydney’s “Fall Ball” theme was inspired by the autumn season and her mitzvah project focusing on EKAR farms. It had a touch of Colorado elegance and sophistication, accented with activities and entertainment perfect to entertain the young and the young at heart.
What were your playful twists that made the event unique?
A fall-themed Kiddush lunch following services set the tone for an elegant and fun and sophisticated celebration. Décor from the lunch was integrated into the evening party theme as well. Scented candles in autumn colors were adorned by die cut paper leaves serving as escort cards. Sydney’s mitzvah project involved EKAR which is an urban farm and gourds and pumpkins and other vegetables were included in the tablescapes.
Tell us about the food and desserts.
A build your own pasta bar kept the kids happy while creative displays of soup shooters, salads, pasta, and carving stations provided hearty fall fare for adults. After some dancing, a caramel apple station with colorful candies and nuts for dipping continued the fall theme and was a hit with both adults and kids. A nine layer macaroon tower was also featured for dessert.
If there was one thing you could change, what would it be?
If there was one thing I could change, we would have had a bigger macaroon tower! Those cookies went in about five minutes flat…
Did you DIY any of the details?
My daughter & I selected and designed the candles and river stone guest book.
What kind of energy did your entertainment give the event?
Dance Trax provided a very interactive dj/mc and a team of dancers to engage the kids the whole evening and keep the energy level and excitement high all night. We also provided a photobooth and flipbook station with props so the kids had fun options both on the dance floor and off to keep them entertained.
What was the most memorable moment?
The most memorable moment of the evening party was having our whole family out on the dance floor together, enjoying each other, the music and and the party!
