Have your magnifying glass at the ready, because “The game is afoot!” at this Sherlock Holmes themed Bar Mitzvah in Des Moines, Iowa! The sharp, classic color duo of black and white was used throughout Jacob’s celebration with bright accents of copper and silver. Mysterious footprints led guests from the main entry hall to a giant crossword puzzle guest book that had everyone scouring for their names to circle to mark their presence at the occasion. After enjoying sushi, vegetable skewers, and the mouthwatering cuisine at the taco bar, all ventured to the dessert table, a Sherlock Holmes silhouette of Jacob in the background, to savor a scrumptious variety of sweets! Knight Life Productions then got the party started, and boys and girls quickly swarmed the dance floor, only slowing down to quench their thirsts with a “Mystery Soda!” This brilliant celebration was captured by Amanda Seals!

What were your playful twists that made the event unique?
A couple of playful twists that helped carry the theme throughout the party were the “mystery” footprints that lined the main entry hall and the custom backdrop of the dessert table that showcased a Sherlock Holmes style silhouette of Jacob. The “guest book” was a word search with all of the guests name in it, it was fun to watch everyone try and find their name.
