RiverMill Event Centre | Columbus, GA
Once a 1920’s cotton plantation, RiverMill is the only building left standing after a fire devastated the mill. A scenic garden features the stunning outdoor brick structure, open ceiling, large brick walls are a gorgeous background to any ceremony, which then could lead into a garden reception outdoors. Or, RiverMill also houses an indoor reception space that features the lovely brick from outside. History and romance surround this mill that is the perfect space for a garden wedding.
Fort Zachary Taylor | Key West, FL
No doubt, state parks are a great option for weddings that radiate natural beauty (and low rental prices are usually a bonus!). The fort in St. Augustine is one of the most sought after attractions for tourists, and it’s not hard to see why. Gorgeously framed against the bay front, this fort is full of history that cements St. Augustine’s spot on the must see list of attractions in the United States. While weddings cannot be held inside the fort (you can take pictures inside though), ceremonies can be held on the north lawn adjacent to it. And get this, it’s only $100 to rent in addition to a $50 per half hour fee for a park attendant to monitor your event. Imagine how amazing getting married in the heart of downtown St. Augustine with the scenic fort and intracoastal in the background for $100 would be. Now plan accordingly.
Georgia State Railroad Museum | Savannah, GA
While essentially a train graveyard, the Georgia State Railroad Museum is a rustic venue that seeps vintage charm. Get married outside on the lawn with a view of the antique warehouse, and wander indoors to see stunning exposed brick, cathedral ceilings and beams are a gorgeous reception setting. Ca’ d’Zan Mansion – The Ringling | Sarasota, FL
Have a circus themed wedding at this gorgeous find! Built by one of the five Ringling brothers in the 1920’s, the mansion turned museum right on the Sarasota Bay features stunning art and architectural aspects that would make any wedding unforgettable. The courtyard gardens are able to accommodate up to 400 guests, while the bayfront terrace can hold up to 250 people. For a more intimate wedding, the museum will allow you to host your wedding inside for up to 80 guests, who will delight in being surrounded by the history of the circus.
11 11 | Miami, FL
If you’ve never heard of 11 11, don’t worry! We’re so glad we stumbled upon this gorgeous venue, because it makes the perfect spot for a Miami wedding! Despite being part parking garage (which, let’s be honest, is a huge plus in our book), this is no ordinary building. Also housing an art museum at its base, and a restaurant on the roof, 11 11 is the definition of converged. Hosting your wedding here would make any wedding oh so Miami chic – your guests would be gushing over the great cityscape view (and be thankful for parking).
