A flawless fusion of traditional and modern, the winter wedding of Courtney and Jerry in Jacksonville was a celebration beyond compare thanks to the unique creations of Jacksonville wedding planners The BIG Event. The ceremony took place at Riverside Baptist Church, the building’s historic architecture reminiscent of old European cathedrals. The bride dressed like royalty in an ivory gown with lace sleeves and detailing, while her bridesmaids made a bold statement beside her in their own dresses of white satin from Alfred Angelo. Guests dressed in elegant black attire began to trickle into the church sanctuary until the place was filled to the brim. Wreaths of baby’s breath in their hair, three little flower girls prepared the way for the bride, white rose petals and dozens of floating candles lining the aisle. Courtney made a regal entrance through the sanctuary to her groom, and the two could not contain their joy upon being pronounced husband and wife. The Conference Center at the Main Library, a Jacksonville wedding venue, was chosen for the reception, warm uplighting providing a magical ambiance to the scene. A meal, a candy table, and a dazzling gold and ivory cake from Velvet Rose Cake Boutique satisfied everyone’s appetite, followed by incredible entertainment from the band Be Easy and DJ Byrd Sanchez, the newlyweds and their guests grooving on the dance floor to their heart’s content.
