For Kaitlin and Greg, it was love at first sight at their freshman college orientation. Well, for Kaitlin, it was more like love at first fall (during a dizzy bat game). Three years (and one month) later, Greg proposed to her by acting out the words ‘Will you marry me?’ via a game of charades. Kaitlin always wanted a big southern wedding incorporating tradition, glamour and romance. After saying their vows at the traditional church wedding that every southern girl dreams of, guests were transported via trolley to the historic Macon Terminal Station. At the reception, brought to life by ellyB Events, Atlanta’s ultimate party planner, guests dined on Puerto Rican and Southern influenced food, sipped on signature cocktails and celebrated the couple all night long. The bride’s wedding gown she wore for her ceremony and first part of the reception was a Lazaro ball gown with a sweetheart neckline. Her bridesmaids all wore floor length dresses by The Dessy Group in different shades of ivory, taupe and blush. The bride wanted everyone to look different and wear a dress that they felt comfortable in and would want to wear again.
The couple’s first date was full of laughter, lots of talking and most importantly great Japanese food and Dairy Queen. After their date Kaitlin called her mom and told her that she had just met her future husband and sure enough four years later they got hitched!
With a color palette of blush and neutrals, Andy Beach & Co. brought timeless elegance alive with a hint of traditional by incorporating beautiful floral arrangements mixed amongst beautiful candlelight fixtures keeping everything romantic and classic.
A dessert bar containing mini servings of the couple’s favorite desserts were provided for guests. They could not have asked for better food or dessert!
THE WEDDING CAKE
An incredible cake that according to the bride, “tasted as good as it looked,” was a seven tiered glamorous and romantic creation from the Couture Cakes in Atlanta, GA.
