Grab the tissues! Tim + Ashley’s floral garden affair was filled with navy, coral and gold, and a special surprise from the bride’s father.
From Ashley ~ “The best part from my father’s speech was that he printed off lyrics to “love and happiness” by Emmylou Harris and Mark Knopfler. He picked me up off the stage where the head table was sitting, and he had everyone sing the song for our first dance. It was such a cool moment with my dad and one I’ll never forget.”
The vintage manor of the Jacob Henry Mansion in Joliet was a perfect location for their springtime wedding. Even though their dog, Wayne, couldn’t attend the wedding they played tribute to him throughout the day. The ceremony had a dog inspired reading, their cake topper featured a silhouette of the three of them (created by Sweet Pea Cakes) and he was featured in their custom drawn guest book frame.
Christopher Mark Fine Flowers & Gifts created fun + beautiful floral arrangements to go with the couple’s garden theme. Ashley looked stunning in her strapless dress from Wolsfelt’s Bridal. Brittany Lynn Studios captured the couple’s day.
After the day was over, the bride said “I don’t think I would have changed anything about the day itself, as it was an unbelievable day with so much love and happiness surrounding us.”
Ashley’s advice to other Chicago couples planning their wedding ~ “One thing I may have changed about the whole process is to take a step back (especially during the more stressful moments) of wedding planning, and realized that while the one day is an amazing and beautiful day, that the wedding day is simply a continuation of our journey through life together. That is what really matters the most in planning a beautiful wedding.”
