Chase proposed to Meredith in the most romantic city in the world, Paris. Upon returning from their trip, it only made sense to create a theme of french elegance mixed with Meredith’s southern roots. Located at her childhood home in Cape Charles, Virginia, Ocracoke Style, a North Carolina wedding planner, planned a breathtaking plantation ceremony filled with pinks, soft greens, and pearl tones. Arbors draped with vines and crystal chandeliers glimmered at the alter and beneath the white tents, provided by Distinctive Event Rentals. Purchased at Pure English Couture Bridal, the bride fashioned an ivory dress with buttons and loads of lace. Placed on top of her curly locks, she wore her great-grandmother’s cathedral veil from brussels. Pre-ceremony, guests were greeted with delicious blueberry mojitos, then led to Meredith’s mother’s garden to enjoy light hors d’oeuvres. Meredith met her groom down the aisle, flooded with pale pink rose petals to exchange tear-jerking vows. Luckily she gave her mother an adorable, personalized handkerchief to clutch onto! Following the ceremony, Charleston based wedding photographer Captured By Kate Photography stole the newlyweds to shoot extraordinary photos across the property before celebration commenced. During cocktail hour guests munched on shucked oysters and a french cart spread with assorted cheeses. Shortly after snacking, guests were seated for plated meals of herb encrusted beef tenderloin and bronzed local rockfish cooked by Chef By Design. Saving room for dessert, a seven-tiered bohemian, blush strawberry cake covered in pearly white icing was cut and served. Everyone’s best dance moves were captured on video by Vision Quest Productions. Exiting in her father’s antique red triumph, the night was truly a night to remember!
