Today’s real wedding takes us all the way to sunny Naples Florida! An outdoor ceremony at the Naples Hilton hotel wedding venue, along with a poolside at sunset, white hydrangeas, a beautiful dress made for a memorable wedding day shot by Naples, FL wedding photographer Maria Angela Photography. It was the tiny details and embellishments that stood out in this feature, and I invite you to peruse the post and gallery for an in-depth look at them all!
Can you give us an overview of the event?: We got married at the beautiful Naples Hilton, poolside at sunset. We floated large gold rose candles in the pool and lined the walkway with hurricane candle holders. The palm trees and scrubs were lit with rope lighting giving the ceremony a very romantic feel. Our reception was held in the ballroom and the colors were ivory & gold with hints of brown. I believe my centerpieces brought everything together, they were three tier gold and crystal with numerous votive candles on each level. The top of the centerpieces were filled with fresh white hydrangea flowers. The best word to describe our reception is elegant.
What inspired the theme or style?: Inspiration came from the elegance of the Naples Hilton. Its boutique feel and décor was exactly what we were looking for
What were your playful twists that made the event unique?: There was a photo booth at the reception. The guest were able to take home pictures to remember the wedding by and a photo album was created with copies of the pictures with personalized messages and best wishes to the Bride & Groom
Did you DIY any of the details?: Family is very important to me. With help from my Mother and Aunt Josephine, we made a gold glitter branch “tree” to remember all of our loved ones wedding. We asked our family members for pictures of them on their wedding day and hung them on the braches to make our wedding more personal. The branches were surrounded with Memorial Candles to honor the family members who are no longer here to celebrate with us.
What was the most memorable moment?: The most memorable moment would have to be when we were announced husband and wife. Hearing the words Mr. & Mrs. Brian Major for the first time was breathtaking!
Tell us about the food and desserts.: The food was out of this world! All done by Shula’s Steak House. We were lucky enough to sample each dish at our tasting and were blown away by the taste and presentation. For cocktail hour, we had butler served crab cakes, bacon wrapped in scallops and honey-glazed crostini with warm Brie and Strawberries. We also had a cheese and antipasto salad displays. For the entrée, we had a sit down dinner with dinner choices of a magnificent Filet Mignon, Grilled Florida Grouper or French-cut panko crusted chicken.
(Continued) Dessert was our wedding cake, which was a 5 tier square chocolate frosted marble cake, with dark mousse filling. Each tier had a different design and all were top with gold edible pearls. We also had some dessert displays of Italian Cookies.
What kind of energy did your entertainment give the event?: Our DJ’s planned music that everyone one at our wedding enjoyed. Requests were made throughout the night which kept all ages partying throughout the evening
If there was one thing you could change, what would it be?: Our wedding was exactly what I dreamed about and I would not change a thing! It exceeded my expectations.
Tell us about your wedding gown and what your wedding party wore.: My wedding gown was designed by Martina Liana and was champagne colored silk with a sweet heart neckline and beautiful large rosettes embellished with crystal’s.
What were the honeymoon plans?: We are going to Jamaica in April for our Honeymoon
