Washington couple Shannon and Steve adore the charm and history of Savannah, Georgia, and it was the desire to share that love with family and friends that marked the city as the location of their springtime destination wedding. The talented team at Ivory + Beau took charge of the event, and it could not have been more perfect. Tall oak trees standing all around, the lovebirds exchanged their marriage vows in Whitefield Square, their dog Rusty stealing everyone’s heart as one of the adorable ring bearers. After the ceremony, Oglethorpe Trolley Tours transported everyone to Savannah wedding venue Savannah Station for the reception, the historic venue’s brick walls exuding a unique rustic vibe. The scene’s purple and gold palette was accented with touches of burlap, lace and antique details, the newlyweds’ love for travel displayed in their vacation pictures on each table. Cape Creations whipped up a mouthwatering array of Southern cuisine for the affair, including appetizers of fried mac & cheese, mushroom bruschetta and shrimp & grits, followed by a meal of beef loin, biscuits, and sweet tea. But the absolute best part? The peach cobbler and chocolate bread pudding for dessert. DJ Chris of All About You was quick to pull everyone to the dance floor for hours of fun before the sweet, Southern celebration drew to an end.
