Kaelan and Chad’s chic rustic wedding infused the perfect mix of southern charm and elegance. These two lovebirds unknowingly met in the second grade and were re-introduced by the bride’s best friend and maid of honor. Their love story was made complete with Chad’s Christmas day proposal, a gesture that is dear to Kaelan’s heart as it’s her favorite holiday. For the wedding, the couple relied on KB Weddings and Events to combine elements from the fire department where Chad works, as well a way to honor his late parents at the ceremony. The couple wed on a warm sunny day in Athens, Georgia at The Barn on Belmont beneath the rustic oak trees of this unique venue. For the big day, the bride and her bridesmaids trusted the team at Bombshell Creations for making sure every detail of their look, from hair to makeup was complete. The bride wore an elegant ivory strapless gown designed by Private Label by G, while her bridesmaids wore blush gowns and wore their best cowboy boots for the ceremony. Kaelan was escorted down the aisle by her father, holding a gorgeous bouquet of carnations and roses arranged by Bud & Bloom floral designers. The couple found meaningful ways to honor their families at their union; Chad walked his mother’s motorcycle helmet down the aisle and they set aside a dedicated chair for his father’s marine funeral flag. After the outdoor ceremony, the couple headed over to the barn for the reception where Williamson Bros. Bar-B-Q prepared dinner for their guests. As the guests danced the night away, the newlyweds enjoyed their first tradition as a married couple by cutting into their three-tiered cake topped with two lovebirds by Victoria’s Sweet Treats. At the end of the reception they exited the barn as friends and family held up sparklers to light up the night sky, as Andie Freeman Photography was there to capture every moment on camera.
