Creator and owner of one of South Florida’s most popular hair and makeup studios, Nikol Johnson has always possessed a passion for things pretty, pink and Parisian, and that is what inspired her boyfriend Raymond to propose to her atop the Eiffel Tower Restaurant in Las Vegas. Nikol couldn’t have been more surprised, and the planning of their French vintage inspired nuptials commenced! The morning of the wedding dawned bright and beautiful, and Nikol was joined at the Boca Raton Resort & Club by close female family and friends for a time of laughter, champagne, and makeovers by her talented salon team. Hours later, the beaming bride was escorted down the aisle of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church to wed fiancé Raymond before one hundred guests. A reception followed at The Addison, a wedding venue in Boca Raton, in a room aglow with pink and golden splendor, chiavari chairs placed around tables decorated with textured linens, gleaming candles, and elegant floral centerpieces. Dinner was served, followed by dancing and a Viennese dessert table with delectable treats including cheesecake lollipops, mini cupcakes and crème brûlée. But what was Nikol’s favorite moment? “The limo ride after the ceremony from the church to The Addison. It was at that moment that it all seemed to be real…that I just married the most wonderful man and my best friend.” Images by Clearwater wedding photographer, K & K Photography!
How did the big day begin?
It was such a magical day and night starting off with the weather in the 60s, blue skies. We all got ready at the Boca Hotel and Resort with a a decadent spa day the day before the wedding. I loved that my company Fresh Beauty Studio was able to offer my closest friends and family the opportunity to get their hair and makeup done in my suite. My team has been working with me for over 5 years and this time it was for one of us. Everyone had such a great time with champagne, laughs and looked beautiful in the pictures.
Tell us about your wedding gown.
I loved my dress. The designer was San Patrick, and I bought it at Bellissima Bridal. I loved that it was ruched, strapless, fitted and had a high fashion train that was all drama. It was a dream to wear.
We want to know about all the wedding details. Was it small and intimate or big and traditional?
Not too big and not too small, just the perfect amount of guests at 100.
Was there a specific theme or style? What inspired it?
The theme was a French romantic vintage feel with lots of crystals, candles, textured linens and soft blush, champagne and pink flowers. Black tie.
What was the best wedding advice you received?
It goes by so fast take in every moment.
