The city of Jacksonville’s charm stood front and center in our cover shoot for the Winter 2016 issue. Arranged in The Celebration Society’s very own north Florida backyard, the best team of vendors came together to create some modern wedding magic. Our historic venue, The Marble Bank Building, opened its doors for the day, where coordinators Adair Currie of Dairing Events and Shea Hopely of Shea Hopely Flowers brought their creative vision to life. The bride, outfitted in a flirty Jim Hjelm high-low gown from The White Magnolia Bridal Collection and uber chic pumps from Manolo Blahnik, cozied up with her groom, outfitted in a sharp modern tuxedo from The Black Tux. Bridesmaids, outfitted in stunning charcoal gowns from Donna Morgan held loose, colorful bouquets. “Guests” were welcomed in style thanks to a clever invitation pocket books by College Park, Georgia stationer Sandi Spells Design. The open marble and iron-filled space was the perfect blank canvas for the stunning collection from Savannah based wedding rental company, Beachview Event Rentals to shine. Gray velvet linen from Nuage Designs, a luxury linen and furniture rental company, outfitted the square table, an unexpected and fresh twist on the trendy feasting table. Colorful glassware, golden flatware, calligraphed ribbon and marble table numbers adorned the table thanks to Set Rentals & Design, Emily Grace Design, Oh Deer Creative and Olivia Grace Paperie. Chandeliers dripping in garland hung from the rafters creating a custom glow over the lounge space. The bar, custom designed by Mark Grandin Events, served as the perfect pre-ceremony hang out for our handsome groom. Following an imagined City Hall Ceremony – where the couple would have exchanged their classic wedding bands from Blue Water Jewelers – our newlyweds took to the streets of downtown Jacksonville, all while Justin DeMutiis Photography and Illumination Films captured the moment. An architectural-inspired cake, created by Creme de la Cocoa, sat beautifully atop a mirrored table in the beaming natural afternoon sunlight.
