Understated elegance. Posh design. Fresh tones of jade and emerald and ivory. Sunshine and palm trees played the perfect backdrop to the wedding celebration of Katie and Russ. The March nuptials on Amelia Island brought the bride and groom’s treasured guests from all over the world together to witness the couple promise one another forever. The bride wore a stunning gown by Nicole Miller, accented to perfection by her bridesmaids in shades of silver and ivory. Dubai-inspired decor met the newlyweds’ love for the beach as they joined their family and friends inside for delectable fare by The Golf Club of Amelia Island and a sophisticated, tasty cake. Fern sprigs and calla lily centerpieces complemented golden champagne toasts and ginger lemon fizz cocktails, the guests surrounded on all sides by comfortable luxury and the entertainment of DJ Kris Parnell, who kept the energy high and the dance floor hopping all through the night. Katie and Russ exited the affair to the well-wishes and cheers of all in attendance and the waving of sparklers. This exotic celebration is brought to you by St. Augustine wedding photographer Dana Goodson Photography!
Please give us an overview of the event.
We had dreams of a perfect beach wedding in North Florida. We found the perfect spot at The Golf Club of Amelia Island about 35 minutes north of Jacksonville. The venue had a beautiful pool by the ocean where we held our ceremony and an elegant club house where we held the reception.
