About

The Nineteenth Century Charitable Association’s beautiful Oak Park Landmark building has served Oak Park, Illinois, and the surrounding communities since its construction in 1928. The Classical Revival 2-story building exudes historical charm and inspiring awe for every guest. The Nineteenth Century offers multiple event spaces to fit your needs, with hanging chandeliers, a full stage, original hardwood floors, and a lofty ceiling. The Margaret Houck Ballroom is a beautiful and refined space for your ceremony and reception. Windows line both sides of the ballroom giving you plenty of natural light, casting an iridescent glow over the hardwood floors. From small to medium sized parties, consider the South Dining Room or the North Dining Room. Cozy yet elegant, these two rooms offer the perfect atmosphere.
