Gibsons Italia is Gibsons Restaurant Group's first downtown restaurant opening since 2005. The modern Italian steakhouse menu created by chef John Coletta and overseen day-to-day by executive chef José Sosa features the highest quality products sourced from around the globe, including a variety of meat, seafood, shellfish, vegetables, risotto and gold-extruded pasta. At the heart of the menu is a world-class tour of beef featuring Gibsons USDA Prime Angus, grass-fed Australian and Japanese Kobe. Located in the West Loop, adjacent to the new River Point building, the restaurant and bar features outdoor dining and a retractable roof showcasing stunning views of the Chicago River and the city's skyline. The spacious roof deck and sleek private dining room are available for private parties and special events for up to 150 guests. The semi-private dining room, which accommodates 30 seated or 40 for reception, overlooks the Chicago River and boasts state of the art audiovisual equipment, wifi and large windows with a beautiful view of the city. The roof deck, which offers a retractable roof for inclement weather, is available seven days a week and is ideal for reception style events up to 150 on a full or partial buyout basis. The entire tri-level restaurant is also available for complete buyouts on Sundays for up to 750.
