I did it, and I got Mike to see it with me. We went and saw The Vow, starring Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum. Complete chick flick but such an amazing story… based on a TRUE STORY nonetheless. The whole movie takes place in Chicago and it’s always fun to see sights and places that you have actually seen and visited in our day to day lives.
The couple in the movie has been in love for less than 5 years, they are husband and wife. Yet, a car accident wipes 5 years from the brides memory…including all of her love for her husband. The movie follows the characters as they process this loss… well I can’t give it all away. Here’s a trailer of the film:
If I was a film critic, I would give the film 4 of 5 hearts! As with any chick flick, you can always find a way to relate to each and every character, and you can’t help but play the “what if I was in their shoes?” game. Well, at least I can’t help but do that. I could not imagine this scenario, nor what I would do as Rachel McAdam’s character or as Channing Tatum’s character or as a witness like all the other characters in the film.
This film struck me to really embrace life everyday, and take lots and lots of pictures of those everyday moments. You never want to forget them! The film even produced a facebook app to help you map your memories. Check it out and see the movie with your loved one!
