Brooke Wright of Table 6 Productions was born and raised on the east coast of the sunshine state, and her enthusiasm for Florida landscape often serves as huge inspiration for her in her work as an event planner and designer. As this industry is constantly changing and evolving, it is crucial for planners to come up with the newest and greatest ideas for their clients. So when Brooke had the urge to create a styled shoot that would force her to think outside the box, what was the result? A rustic island themed wedding reception! Brooke has always been a lover of simple rustic decor, and when she saw the gorgeous Mediterranean architecture of Vanderbilt Mansion on Fisher Island, the unique theme for the shoot was born (and the venue chosen!). By using blues, golds, wooden furniture and unique floral centerpieces, learn from Brooke how the perfect balance between rustic and exotic can be struck! Photos by Kristen Weaver Photography!
COLORS & THEME
The overall theme for this photo shoot was aimed toward my love for rustic weddings and the location of the shoot, Fisher Island, Miami. I felt Seaside Cobalt and hues of pale blue were the perfect color palette to describe Miami’s beach setting along with the finer details such as the dark blue floral, linens, and glassware. To include a rustic theme, I added colors of beige and gold to give the overall table a rural feeling. Keeping some of the other bold details such as the table, candle pieces, wooden framed box, and chairs within the rustic theme allowed the finer seaside details to become more visible.
FLOWERS & DECOR
Jacqueline from J Morgan Flowers helped create an unbelievable table setting and center pieces with exquisite flower arrangements! With her spectacular service and talent, Jacqueline pulled colors from different hues of blue and matched them with warmer shades of wood to help compliment each other. The gold flatware and pale blue chair covers mixed with the vintage wooden table and vases complimented to our overall theme!
STATIONERY & OTHER PAPER PRODUCTS
Kerry’s Papery provided one of a kind stationary for our photo shoot! I chose this stationary company because they are one of the best companies that have the ability of designing any type of style you are looking for to compliment the theme of your shoot. For our particular papery, we were able to include shades of beige and gold while including the theme of the ocean side with palm trees in the foreground.
