While most one-year-old birthdays include a low-key spread of ice cream and cake, Adyn Honorés first year was celebrated in serious style. On a sunny day in Historic Fourth Ward Park, family and friends gathered for an afternoon of celebration inspired by the birthday girl’s playful personality and fun-loving spirit. To beat the heat, guests mingled under paper parasols, spent time at the “cooling station” and broke out their best moves on the dance floor. Splashed with bright colors and a touch of whimsy, Adyn’s mom made sure the atmosphere was energetic and lively with a feminine flair. Adyn’s mom, Cori said, “It was so special to look out and see so many of our closest friends and family with such love in their hearts for our baby girl.” Images by Our Labor of Love.
Wanting to avoid cliché girl’s birthday filled with sparkles and tutus, Adyn’s party consisted of an ethereal and feminine theme with a vintage twist.
Mirko Pasta celebrated the season with a summertime menu of picnic favorites. The adults enjoyed mouthwatering eats like ginger and honey glazed BBQ ribs and grilled sweet potato salad. The children’s chicken tenders, fruit, cheese and Goldfish-filled paper bag lunches were an absolute hit.
