Time flies! We all know this, but perhaps none so well as parents watching their little ones grow up. Just the first year of a child’s life can truly pass in the blink of an eye, especially for a mom! Therefore, when her daughter’s first birthday drew near, Caridad of Cary Diaz Photography captured this idea of flight in Kailey’s celebration using a vintage hot air balloon theme. Guests arrived at the party and gazed about the scene in wonder. Balloons of soft blue, pink, and turquoise floated above the gift table and the birthday girl’s high chair. On each table sat delicate hot air balloon centerpieces, cleverly comprised of a basket, silk flowers, and a bright paper lantern. Following a delicious Italian meal, three amazing dessert stations awaited those with a sweet tooth: a candy station, a chocolate fountain station, and a milk and cookies station, each a lovely display of soft colors, whimsical decor, and scrumptious treats. Soar to this dreamy celebration with these photos from the party hostess!
A lovely scene to take anyone’s breath away! I especially like the vintage rose pattern used for the table runners, plates, and napkins. The perfect touch of old-fashioned femininity!
Each of these dessert stations was decorated with such care. And what a variety of sweets! I personally love the whimsical quality of the pinwheel cupcakes and the cloud and hot air balloon cookies. Which treats do you like the best?
“Oh, the places she’ll go!” This phrase was taken from a classic by Dr. Seuss, and honestly, what saying could’ve been more exciting and sweet?
