Today’s tea party is as darling as tea parties get. One night during a recent pinning spree, I came across a pin of this amazing little party, and that pin summed up about 95% of what I cared about as a little girl: pink balloons, pink dresses, sweet treats, maybe a cup or two of tea, and of course flower crowns. That’s why I was absolutely thrilled when Cacao Sweets & Treats‘ Creative Director Melissa shared more photos from the shoot with us to share with you today. Now if only we could get our hands on some of those scrumptious cake truffles!
What makes little girls swoon more than the thought of an elaborate tea party! How about a tea party filled with beautiful sweets, floral crowns and oversized pink balloons?!
We chose a beautiful, lush outdoor space as the setting for our party to create a secret garden feel. A children’s sized farmhouse table was the perfect place to set up our tea cups and pots, plates and colorful flowers. The girls squealed in delight when they saw mini layer cakes with each of their names on them that we used in lieu of place cards! Oversized pink balloons were attached to the back of each chair to create height and a pop of color against the green trees. Each little girl was given a fresh floral crown, which made them feel like an instant princess.
As the girls came to the party, they could hardly contain their excitement. Just behind their seats we set up a pint-sized dessert table filled with beautiful treats that they little ones couldn’t wait to get their hands on. French macarons, fluffy meringues, floral cookies and little cake truffles topped with hand-piped rosettes awaited the little girls. Floral arrangements in vintage tea tins added the perfect amount of color and complimented the treats beautifully!
After eating to their hearts desire the girls marched around the table in their floral crowns with balloons attached to their little wrists, it was pure joy! Giggling and squeals of delight filled the air.
