Believe it or not – I had my first macaron today. I’ve seen these colorful desserts on Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, and of course, wedding blogs, but I never had the chance to try them! So when my friends took me to San Francisco for the day, I couldn’t say no to visiting macaron shops and taking some of these bite sized sweets home. What I love about macarons is that they’re super adorable, melts-in-your-mouth delicious, and can come in so many different colors. They’re perfect for any event, big or small!
Not only are they delicious? They are also useful! Macarons can serve as both an escort card holder and a little treat. Having these macaron escort card holders will definitely start your event right because they are the first thing your guests will see. If you’re using monograms on your wedding invitations, programs, lighting and other elements of your event, you should also get these gorgeous ceramic monogrammed macarons fragrance objects. (Whew, that was a mouthful!) Packed in a lace organza bag, these monogrammed macarons can be perfumed with all sorts of different “flavors.” Awesome, right? (Photography via Etsy – Hideminy)
This cake screams classic with a modern twist. With an elegant white three tiered cake decorated with light gray ribbons, it’s topped off with a colorful ball of macarons. Macarons were stuck onto a large sytrofoam ball and then placed on top. The macaron ball is quite colorful and eye catching! (Photography via Cake Central)
Out with the cakes, and in with the macaron displays! This macaron tower totally blew me away. I love the height, the colors, and the whole arrangement in general. I’m craving some macarons right now just looking at it! There’s not a detail too small, and this rainbow macaron tower will definitely be a detail that your guests will remember. Macarons come in so many different colors that it’s not hard to incorporate them into your event. What’s great is that bakers who make these can add designs on them (think monograms, sparkles, and accents) to make them what you want. If you want a unique treat to serve at your event, why not use macarons?
