Hannah and Pat knew they wanted to showcase Chicago in their engagement photos. They also knew that they’d be taking their photos in the middle of (what is usually) a brutal Chicago winter, so the ability to shoot indoors was important. Hannah + Pat and their photographer, Nicole Jansma Photographer ended up lucky — we’ve had an unseasonably warm winter with sometimes beautiful weather. The day of their engagement shoot was filled with sun, slight cloud cover, spring-like temperatures…absolutely dreamy!
Nicole Jansma Photography says, “We settled on splitting our time between Chicago’s Union Station and Adler Planetarium. We spent our first half at Union Station. Between the hints of gold and the stunning architecture, it was the perfect backdrop for for Hannah’s sparkly gold Badgley Mischka dress and Pat’s dapper black suit. We then swapped the suit and gown for cozy warm sweaters and headed to Adler where we watched the sun start to tuck away behind the buildings.”
Hannah had her hair and makeup done by Judith B Salon and wore a floor-length Badgley Mischka gown for their shoot at Union Station. At Adler Planetarium, the couple wore jeans and sweaters as they overlooked the city.
