I started with the theme, “Touch of Lace,” a popular trend for 2012, with romantic details such as lace, pearls, and a little bling to create a fresh, yet sophisticated look that was oh so gorgeous. Touches of color were soft yet cheerful…tiffany blue, pistachio, daffodil, ivory lace, and silver were chosen to complete the look. The invitations and favors were hand-wrapped in lace, the place settings and bouquet were dazzled with bling and centerpiece and cake was adorned with pearls. This theme is clean, elegant and refreshing and paired perfectly with the gorgeous setting for the Silver Lake Country Club photo shoot.
Lauren and Kyle’s wedding at The W Hotel had a true Chicago theme. With the bride from Michigan and the groom from New Jersey, the newlyweds chose to have a downtown Chicago.
“We were a ‘destination wedding,’ for our friends and family. The majority of our friends and family have never been to Chicago so we made it memorable,” Lauren says.
The new bride and groom had activities planned all weekend — a BBQ during the day overlooking Lake Michigan, a stop at Giordanos in the evening after the rehearsal dinner for a true slice of Chicago style pizza, and brunch on Sunday after the wedding.
Lauren + Kyle made sure to incorporate their love for the city and personalities into their wedding day. After meeting in Las Vegas at a pool party at The Hard Rock Hotel, the couple had a long distance relationship before moving to Chicago to be together. “The day we met, there was instant chemistry,” Lauren said. To showcase the couple’s personality, the pair had a table with their grandparent’s photos who had past, as well as glow sticks to represent the couple’s meeting place of Las Vegas.
The W Hotel Lakeshore’s outdoor patio for cocktail hour overlooking Lake Michigan and Navy Pier sold the couple on the scenic reception venue. Alliance Bakery‘s funfetti vanilla wedding cake had all of the couple’s favorite flavors — chocolate with peanut butter filling and caramelized bananas. Guests even took home a true Chicago tradition — bags of Garrett Popcorn. Rose petals were scattered throughout the reception tables with crystal bling and globe candles.
“My favorite part of the day was when our families met for the first time,” Lauren says.

((Jen +Daniel)) chose Chicago for their destination wedding. They are both from Florida, but love the look and feel of The Windy City. The couple’s day started as they got ready for their ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria. After a morning of rest and relaxation, the couple met for ‘first look’ photos and then headed to a few iconic Chicago destinations with their photographer and dog, Oliver in tow. After some adorable family photos, they met up with friends and family at Little Goat in Chicago’s West Loop for an intimate rooftop ceremony and a seated dinner.

(Monica + Paul’s)) wedding day was truly breathtaking and meaningful from start to finish — from the walk down the aisle to the packed dance floor during the reception. Cafe Brauer at Lincoln Park Zoo held the nuptials indoors, under their natural light-filled dome of stunning architecture.
he bride and groom tied the knot under a beautiful, floral arch by The Flower Firm, and shared their first kiss as husband and wife with their baby girl held proudly in Mama’s arms.
The same room was then transformed into a magical reception with lovely florals and pink sequin table runners on every table. A Mariachi band serenaded their guests as the couple enjoyed scrumptious appetizers and cocktails.
