There are so many phenomenal wedding trends that have gripped brides and designers these days – rustic weddings, fresh greenery, inventive botanical details – but I’ve started to notice a larger trend at work. Underneath all of the trappings, these trends are full of fresh, natural elements that create a simple elegance.
To keep things feeling organic, start with a neutral, earthy color palette drawn from natural elements. Elegantly simple wedding dresses with flowing lines are perfect, especially when paired with loose waves and a bridal headpiece of vines. Ivory, green, and woodsy tones set the scene with boughs of foraged greenery and rustic farm tables. Monofloral arrangements and bouquets have become popular, with loose bunches of pale flowers arranged with overflowing leaves and vines. Want to add a punch of color? Start with softer, more natural colors that are in keeping with the surroundings and the time of year – foraged foliage is the quickest and easiest way to bring in the color of the season – before adding soft pops of color from local flowers, fruit, or berries!
